Billy Cawthorn - Lead Advisor & Director of Scouting

Jordan is the founder and driving force behind P2P Hockey Advising, a goalie-specific development and advancement agency dedicated to helping goaltenders reach their full potential. With a lifelong passion for hockey and goaltending and an unwavering commitment to high performance, Jordan brings a wealth of experience both on and off the ice.


He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Waldorf University, where he combined his academic pursuits with competitive play at the college hockey level. His playing career also includes experience at the Junior level, giving him first-hand insight into the journey aspiring goaltenders face.


Over the past eight years, Jordan has developed a reputation as a knowledgeable and dedicated goaltending coach, currently working with multiple teams across Saskatchewan. In addition to goalie coaching, he plays a vital role in the junior hockey landscape both in Scouting and as an Assistant General Manager/Assistant Coach. His commitment to ongoing development is exemplified by his invitation to the Hockey Canada NCCP Goaltending Coach Seminar in 2025, where he continues to learn from Canada's top goaltending minds and pursue the highest level of certification.


Jordan’s mission at P2P is clear: to provide personalized advising, elite goaltender development, and strategic career guidance rooted in real-world experience and deep industry connections. His comprehensive approach ensures that every client receives the tools, support, and exposure necessary to succeed at the next level.

Billy Cawthorn - Lead Advisor & Director of Scouting

Billy Cawthorn - Lead Advisor & Director of Scouting

Billy brings a dynamic mix of experience, leadership, and dedication to his role as Lead Advisor and Director of Scouting at P2P Hockey Advising. He has been passionate about the goaltending position from a young age, training under some of the top goalie coaches in Western Canada.


He enjoyed a strong Junior career before going on to play collegiate hockey at Briercrest College, where he also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His transition from player to mentor has been seamless, as he has since dedicated himself to coaching and scouting goalies.


Billy brings prior experience from working within the hockey agency industry, giving him valuable insight into the advising and recruitment process. He currently manages a high-performance hockey skills facility in Saskatchewan, and he continues to work hands-on with goaltenders, refining their technique and mental game.


In 2024, Billy attended the Hockey Canada NCCP Goaltending Coach Seminar, where he began working toward full certification among Canada’s top coaching minds. His understanding of the goalie development path, combined with his extensive network across Junior and College hockey, allows him to provide tailored guidance to each athlete he mentors.


Billy’s goal is simple but powerful: to make a lasting impact on each goaltender’s career by combining elite development, honest advising, and a clear roadmap for advancement.

Cody MurrAY - BRITISH COLUMBIA SCOUT

Cody serves as a British Columbia Scout for P2P, bringing deep regional knowledge and a lifelong dedication to goaltending development. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Cody began playing goal at a young age and progressed through the competitive ranks, including AAA, Prep, and Junior A hockey.


Following his playing career, Cody pursued academics at the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business, where he combined his business education with his ongoing passion for the game. That passion led him to establish Murray Goaltending, a full-time goaltending development program based in the Okanagan region. Through this platform, Cody continues to coach and mentor goaltenders of all ages, with a focus on technical refinement, confidence building, and long-term growth.


Cody’s deep roots in Western Canada and his daily presence in rinks throughout B.C. make him a key asset to P2P’s expanding scouting reach. His ability to evaluate talent, build relationships, and provide honest, goalie-specific insights helps P2P identify and support promising goaltenders throughout the province.


With a coach’s mindset and a scout’s eye, Cody is committed to helping the next generation of goalies achieve their goals both on and off the ice.

Matt Trulsen - Western canada SCOUT

Matt Trulsen is a dedicated goaltending advocate and Western Canada Scout for P2P Hockey Advising, leveraging his playing experience and industry insight to help goaltenders reach their next level.


A native of British Columbia, Matt began playing goal at the age of five and was driven from the start to compete at the highest level possible. That determination led him through competitive Junior hockey and ultimately to the University of Jamestown, where he played college hockey while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.


Matt’s experience at both the Junior and collegiate levels gives him a strong eye for evaluating goaltending talent and understanding the developmental path required for long-term success. His ability to relate to aspiring athletes and share his first-hand knowledge makes him a valuable resource for the goalies P2P serves.


In his role with P2P, Matt provides vital connections across Western Canada, helping to open doors for goaltenders and ensuring they’re seen by the right programs at the right time. He is committed to advancing the careers of young goalies through honest advising, sharp scouting, and a clear understanding of what it takes to succeed at every level of the game.

Mitch Berg - Optima Athletic - Sports Psychologist

Mitch has studied and worked in the mental health field with athletes for the past 9 years, and has completed his Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology. The goal of his program and working with athletes is to support their overall well-being, as well as build mental resilience to reach their potential to be the best athlete possible. Mitch had an extensive hockey career playing in the WHL and Junior A, which helps him relate to his clients. We are very excited for our athletes to have access to a resource that will focus on an important part of an athletes performance. Rick Wamsley brings a wealth of elite-level experience to P2P Hockey Advising through his partnership with Goalie U, offering our goaltenders unparalleled mentorship and insight. A former NHL goaltender, Rick was drafted 58th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 1979 and went on to play 12 seasons in the league with Montreal, St. Louis, Calgary, and Toronto. His playing career includes winning the William Jennings Trophy in 1981 and a Stanley Cup championship with the Calgary Flames in 1989.


As the founder of Goalie U, Rick is also a pioneer in modern goalie development, offering a cutting-edge, video-based platform designed to raise goalie IQ by breaking down real game situations. His innovative approach emphasizes game-read awareness, decision-making, and professional-level preparation—resources now available to P2P clients through this partnership.
